Job Description:
A Clinician/Therapist is responsible for performing client care activities as directed by the attending physician, Medical Director, Clinical Director & Clinical Supervisor. He/she will provide group therapy as ordered by the Clinical Director. Collaborates with the Treatment Team in the formulation of the Master Treatment Plan and assists in coordinating discharge planning.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health, substance use history, and treatment needs.
- Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their goals and needs.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention, and others.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute psychiatric or substance-related issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate care with other members of the treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review cases, discuss treatment strategies, and collaborate on client care.
- Provide education and support to clients' families and significant others to enhance their understanding of addiction and recovery.
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of addiction treatment, and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, including maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to relevant laws and regulations governing the provision of mental health and substance abuse services.
- Keep track of client’s insurance reviews and understand all UR notes for documentation purposes.
- Adheres to policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
