Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot security for the company's Azure/O365 environment and Meraki network, to address Data Loss Prevention, IAM, SIEM, UEBA and endpoint protection.
- Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential system and network vulnerabilities in Azure/O365 and local networks.
- Develop monitoring and perform incident response for Azure/O365, handling security incident response, forensics, and detailed reporting.
- Review Microsoft Entra (Azure Active Directory) and propose changes to enhance access controls without inhibiting work flow.
- Configure compliance policies within Azure/O365.
- Assist in DR planning and recovery testing.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in IT, including 3+ years focused on security in the Microsoft Azure/O365 environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience administering and securing Azure resources, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and other Microsoft cloud services.
- Strong background in PowerShell, Bash and DevOps principles for automating security tasks.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and cloud architectures.
- Experience with a variety of security tools and ability to maximize value of existing options.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CISSP, CCSP, GAIC, MCASEA or other relevant security certifications.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI for security reporting/analytics.
- Scripting abilities beyond PowerShell (e.g. Python, Java).
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience securing Microsoft's cloud ecosystem, coupled with prior systems administration background to effectively deploy and manage security controls across the Azure/O365 environment.
