**Overview:** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs. This role requires a patient and understanding individual who can assist with daily living tasks, promote independence, and maintain a safe and supportive environment. **Responsibilities:** - Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs. - Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation. - Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each individual. - Support individuals with dementia, hospice care, and other chronic illnesses. - Manage challenging behaviors and provide crisis intervention when necessary. - Administer first aid and provide medical support when needed. - Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and other destinations. - Maintain a clean and organized living environment, adhering to HIPAA guidelines. - Monitor and report any changes in an individual's health or well-being. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other support staff to ensure the highest level of care. **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs. - Strong patient care skills, including the ability to provide compassionate and respectful care. - Ability to lift, transfer, and move individuals safely and efficiently. - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. - Knowledge of first aid and medical procedures. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Familiarity with behavior management techniques and dementia care practices. - Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and regulations. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient care and support.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
