We are seeking a casual Laboratory Aide to assist in laboratory duties and techniques. The goal is to participate and learn the planning of experiments and evaluating/interpreting test results utilizing knowledge of research laboratory procedures and practices.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Follows established procedures or protocols and utilizes aseptic technique to perform laboratory tests and/or experiments which include iPSC cell culture, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, microscopy, and other basic molecular biology techniques.

Uses various software applications, such as Excel spreadsheets, electronic mail, World Wide Web, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or test reports.

Participate in the organization and operation of the laboratory. Performs general lab maintenance duties. Will need to maintain excellent written records and electronic databases.

Prepares solutions, reagents, and stains following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.

Understand and follow standard operating procedures for environmental sample collection.

Understand and follow standard operating procedures for environmental sample collection, transport, storage, processing, and analysis using laboratory techniques and instruments

Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Actively pursuing High School Diploma or graduation equivalent

Starting Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.00 HRLY ($2,000 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
