Eagle Global Scientific (EGS) is seeking a Health Communication Specialist to provide the following duties.
- Facilitate collaboration among SMEs, health communication and technical specialist on digital product development.
- Provide consultation and technical advice in the development and implementation of digital communication reaching various audiences (e.g., general public, underserved populations, and populations at risk, health professionals) about vaccination.
- Apply best practices to expand reach, foster engagement, and increase access to credible, science-based health digital media.
- Apply best practices for user-centered design for web and digital media.
- Develop, write, edit, produce, and optimize digital content ensuring consistency with agency messaging and priorities.
- Implement web content strategy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing CDC’s process for planning and conducting crisis and emergency risk communication, especially related to infectious disease outbreaks.
- Has academic education providing the knowledge and skills to perform in a health communication position [e.g., a degree(s) in health communication, promotion, or education; public health; marketing, mass communication] If no education, has equivalent experience gaining higher levels skills in health communication and digital content management.
- Competent in health communication and digital content management strategies, plain language and clear communication, project management.
- Experience with preventative approaches through an equity lens.
- Collaborative organized and solution oriented.
- Proficiency managing editorial calendars and digital content development processes.
