We are seeking a motivated Registered Dental Assistant or a Dental Assistant working towards becoming an RDA with a positive and outgoing attitude to join our team. The responsibilities of a RDA/DA include various patient care and laboratory duties and to closely collaborating with the doctor and the team to ensure the efficient operations of each day and to deliver exceptional patient care. This position requires excellent attention to detail, a willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to multitask. Our digital practice utilizes intraoral scanners, 3D printers, and computer-based charting.
Qualifications
- At least one year of orthodontic assisting experience
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent patient care and customer service skills
- Valid Registered RDA or DA with ambitions of becoming an RDA
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills and a capacity to adeptly assimilate new software.
- Ability to multitask, adhere to instructions, and retain procedural knowledge
- Eager to learn new skills and procedures

- Knowledge and adherence to OSHA, infection control, and safety protocols

Responsibilities
- Provider excellent patient care and chairside manner
- Assist the doctor with patient procedures
- Knowledge and understanding of dental terminology are sufficient to perform the job successfully.
- Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry)
- Perform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctors' schedules and patient flow; create no patient wait time; and maintain patient time flexibility.
- Be present, engaged, and ready to work
- Help with office housekeeping and organization
- Review the patient chart before the doctor's arrival, log appropriate patient data during exams and treatment, and transcribe doctor notes in the patient chart.
- Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance.
- Follow OSHA-mandated safety policies and procedures.
- Take radiographs of patients and scans using an intraoral 3D scanner.
