Description:Clairmont Place is a lovely non-profit retirement community in the greater Decatur area. We are located on several acres with walking paths and a lake. Our supportive, tight-knit condo community is made up of independent living residents who own their own condos. They receive twice monthly housekeeping in addition to laundry services, among the other services they pay for with their monthly fees.
We are currently seeking one full time housekeeper to join our team on a seasonal/temporary basis for two months/eight weeks. Each housekeeper has a set rotation of condo residents they provide services for. Our residents love engaging with staff and we love to support our residents. Position is day time, generally 8a - 4pm Monday through Friday. We require all new hires to be vaccinated against Covid and able to pass a drug and background screen. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
POSITION: Temporary/Seasonal Housekeeper
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Housekeeping Supervisor
STATUS: Non-Exempt / Hourly
SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for cleaning resident’s apartments and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying maintenance of any issues. You should be able to lift a minimal of 50 pounds or more and have an eye for cleanliness. This care will be given in accordance with the plan of care assigned by the Clinical Director and/or Resident Care Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Must successfully clear a background check/ fingerprinting, TB skin test or x-ray, and health screening
- Current CPR certification
- Current certificate of training for successful completion of the five (5) hour initial fire safety training provided by the Rules and Regulations of the Georgia Safety Fire Commissioner
- Ability to manage your time efficiently.
- Work well unsupervised.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more.
- Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.
- Strong Work Ethic
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained
- Clean individual resident condos to include dusting, kitchen cleaning, changing sheets on beds, vacuuming and mopping, etc
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop common area floors
- Clean and stock common area restrooms
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
- Notify managers of necessary repairs
- Collect and dispose of trash
- Assist residents when necessary
- Keep personal storage/supply cart stocked
- Properly clean upholstered furniture
- Focuses on solving conflict and not blaming
- Listens to others without interrupting and keeps emotions under control
- Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
