Job Description:
Summary of Position:
Participate in the estimating process to execute project sales efforts. Analyze all project documents to determine and prepare the estimated cost of a project. Prepare material quantity takeoffs for the Preconstruction Services Manager to execute a competitive bid. Work in a team environment with other estimators to support projects of varying sizes and scopes across the U.S. and collaborate closely with Preconstruction Services and Project Management teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Top priority is to provide accurate estimates that are completed on time.
- Conduct estimating on a day-to-day basis.
- Contribute to project results by executing estimating process with few errors.
- Participate and drive takeoff efficiency through use of 3D technology.
- Partner with Preconstruction Managers and vendors to create accurate and on-time bids.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-year degree in Engineering Technology or similar field required.
- Five (5) years of related work experience with advanced skills in Excel and technical expertise.
- 5+ years of estimating experience required.
- Construction experience required. Building façade experience preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced knowledge in reading blueprints and understanding specification documents.
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling and estimating software such as Bluebeam.
- Skilled in using scales and scientific calculators.
- Mechanical aptitude for understanding construction methods.
- Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
