Opportunity
The Director of Expansion is a dynamic and pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and construction phases of our medical practice's expansion projects. This position requires a blend of expertise in project management, construction oversight, financial acumen, and healthcare industry knowledge.
The Director of Expansion will serve as the Owner’s representative on a variety of projects including ground-up new construction, renovations, and capital improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Development: Lead the planning and execution of expansion projects, including site selection, design, and feasibility studies. Collaborate with senior management to align expansion goals with the practice's strategic vision.
Project Management: Oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Act as the primary liaison between contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders.
Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, conduct financial analysis, and provide regular reports on project status and expenditure to senior management. Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage risks.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those related to healthcare facilities. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including medical staff, administrative teams, and external partners. Ensure transparency and timely updates on project progress.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of project managers and support staff. Foster a collaborative environment and ensure staff are aligned with project goals and objectives.
Quality Control: Uphold high standards of quality in construction and ensure the final product meets the specific needs of a medical practice, including patient safety and comfort.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project management, with a focus on healthcare facility construction.
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000 - $90,000
Bonus: Up to 10% of annual pay
Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel
