Established mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC construction, installation and maintenance for the NY Tri-State area is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of an Accounts Payable Manager on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be reporting to the Controller.
Description:
- Responsible for all Accounts Payable activities for the company
- Coordinate all payments made to vendors
- Review and process invoices associated with purchase orders and subcontracts
- Input and keep track of all overhead expenses
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Performs accounts payable and general ledger maintenance
- Responding to all inquiries regarding accounts payable from vendors, customers and employees
- Liaison between Project Managers and Vendors
Qualification:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounts payable with a working background in a construction company or related industry
- Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Should be well versed in computer usage and software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Sage software is a plus
