Temporary/seasonal position working in fireworks sales locations in Orlando.
Basic duties include:
- Unloading product from locked storage
- Opening tent and gates/locking fixtures if applicable
- Quick inventory check — Keep a record of what is sold and what is left over.
- Get your point of sale ready for the day by doing a till count
- Ready shelves/ tables for the day — This includes making sure your space stocked, clean and there is adequate representation of all types of product.
CONTINUAL DUTIES
- Keeping shelves full
- Answering customer questions
- Ringing up customers
- Getting customer’s product boxed up and/or carried to their car
MARKETING DUTIES
- Walk the area in front of your store if no guests inside and market our presence
- Making sure signs, banners, flags are displayed
END OF DAY AND CLEAN UP
- Break down register and account for sales
- Inventory count and restock
OR End of Season:
- Place inventory away for safe storage and possible transportation
- Clean up around stand/tent area
- Pull signs, flags and banners
Most of the days of the fireworks season are fairly calm and quiet, meaning quiet/slow periods where relaxing, playing games, or reading are fine (and encouraged). As customers slowly trickle in on those days, we greet them and work with them on sales, answering questions and attending to their needs. In other words, the work is somewhat minimal nearly every day but the 3rd and 4th of July. On the 4th, it's a fairly constant flow of customer traffic and keeps us all hustling. Each day, you will have help and support.
It's fun work and plenty of training is provided about fireworks, promoting sales, etc.

Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
