BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for a variety of human resources administrative tasks and projects. The HR Assistant will provide excellent customer service to all CASTO associates through effective communications.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment
- Recruit for open positions (review resumes, conduct prescreen interviews, schedule onsite interviews, and communicate with managers throughout the process)
- Coordinate pre-employment screenings such as background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Process all paperwork for new hires and terminations
- Conduct new hire orientation and exit interviews
Wellness Programming
- Oversee the program design and strategic planning of the wellness program
- Plan and deliver communications, events, education and onsite initiatives for associates
Payroll
- Perform biweekly audit of timesheets to ensure accurate records prior to payroll processing
HR Administrative Support
- Respond to employment verification requests
- Electronically scan associate files.
- Assist with coordinating office-wide events, including but not limited to: blood drives, take your child to work day, lunch and learns, etc.
- Provide and manage content and update the Intranet
Reception Backup
- Act as the main backup for the reception desk, including answering a multi-line switchboard and greeting customers
- Provide backup for mail sorting
- Act as the backup point of contact for all building and maintenance requests.

SKILLS
- 2+ years in a related HR or administrative support role required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional, friendly, and personable
- Able to work with/keep confidential information
