Essential Functions:
- Oversee the preparation and issuance of accurate and timely invoices to residents and third-party payers.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to billing and revenue management in a senior living environment.
- Monitor and review billing systems and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage the accounts receivable process, including tracking payments, addressing delinquent accounts, and minimizing outstanding balances.
- Reconcile all revenue of charges to general ledger.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue collection and improve cash flow.
- Responsible for managing the collection of outstanding accounts receivable from residents (and clients, patients), ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate timely with residents and their families regarding billing inquiries and issues.
- Provide clear and accurate information about billing procedures, charges, and payment options.
- Prepare regular reports on billing and revenue activities, including aging reports, collection rates, and revenue forecasts.
- Perform monthly revenue testing to ensure accurate billing is submitted, with correct rates, appropriate codes, etc.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation of accounts.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and audits related to billing and revenue.
- Supervise and train billing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to policies.
MUST HAVE REVENUE CYCLE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in billing and revenue cycle management required.
- Senior living or healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience with third-party payers (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.).
- Strong collections and accounts receivable management skills.
- Proficient in Office 365, especially Excel and billing software.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency.
- Integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.
- Experience working with a mature population.

- Some travel may be required.
