Job Title: Fabrication Shop Assistant w/EXPERIENCE
Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Fabrication Shop Assistants to join our dynamic team in a creative fabrication environment. Must have good material knowledge and know their way around a shop and the tools available. The ideal candidate will support our production team with various tasks, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Assist with receiving, organizing, and managing materials and supplies.
- Tool Maintenance: Use, maintain and organize tools and equipment, applying grease and tool lubricants to ensure they are in good working condition, as well as paint sprayer cleaning and maintenance.
- Fabrication Support: Support the fabrication team with cutting, sanding, assembling, and finishing tasks as needed.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels, assist in ordering supplies, and manage stockroom organization of consumable supplies such as sandpapers, dust masks and fiber discs.
- Research: Researching and comparing new tools & equipment.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe; follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Daily Projects: An ideal candidate can design their own capital improvements to maintain and build an organized shop infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
REQUIRED Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, carpentry, or creative shop environment preferred, any additional skills that pertain to our operation are a HUGE plus and increases hourly rate.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in fabrication. Tightening belts, changing compressor oil.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as identifying and organizing hardware.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of shop safety practices and protocols.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project requirements.
Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job
We cannot emphasize enough that this position is rooted in shop maintenance, cleaning and organizing. There will be other opportunities to work on projects, but your main focus is on improving the daily operations and work flow.
