- $1000 Sign on Bonus for Night Shift 10 pm to 6 am or 6 pm to 6 am
- $750 Sign on Bonus for Evening Shift 2 pm to 10 pm or 10 am to 10 pm
- $500 Sign on Bonus for Day Shift 6 am to 2 pm or 6 am to 6 pm

Central Gardens, Inc., a senior residential care facility located in Dexter, Missouri, is seeking compassionate responsible candidates to fulfill the role of a Certified Med Tech or a L1MA to enhance our highly qualified team of professionals. We are willing to train and certify CNA's to become a L1MA. The candidate we select must possess a sincere passion for working with seniors, as well as have demonstrated knowledge of care giving in a senior living community. Our focus always is to provide our residents with the highest standards of quality of service, environment and care. The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate medication administration for all assigned residents and for routinely monitoring the resident’s comfort. The position also provides hands on assistance with the daily care needs of the residents’ personal needs; grooming and hygiene, laundering, social interactions, and serving meals. Responsibilities and Duties
- Assists in general care and well-being of residents.
- Assists residents in activities of daily living.
- Implementing residents’ personal care plans, focusing on residents’ strengths, preferences and preferred routines, while providing a sense of comfort, companionship and belonging.
- Administers oral and external medications to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN.
- Reports unusual symptoms and/or behaviors of residents to supervisor.
- May need to assist residents in grooming and hygiene activities.
- May need to take vital signs.
- Responsible for knowledge of resident's conditions.
- Maintains unit environment for safety of resident.
- Assists with any required duty as delegated by DON, within scope of practice.
- Assists in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
- Prepares and delivers snacks, etc., as instructed.
- Serves food in dining room as instructed and /or delivers food trays to rooms.
- Report any needed maintenance repairs.
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- L1MA certification or Med Tech certification or CNA certification.
- Experience in a senior living environment preferred.
- Previous Med Aide/Nurse Aide experience required with positive work references.
- Must possess all required licenses and/or certifications required by State licensing authority and maintain continuing education requirements.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
- Must follow specific directions and schedules, both written and oral.
- Able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
- Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
- Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks.
- Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance is important.
