General Purpose of the Job
Provide essential support in managing financial records and transactions. Assist senior accountants by performing tasks such as data entry, reconciliation, financial reporting, and maintaining organized financial documentation. The role ensures that financial information is accurate, and up to date, contributing to the overall financial health and success of the organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Supported senior accountants in daily financial operations, including data entry, invoice processing, and reconciliations.
· Manage full cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
· Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
· Process and track invoices, expenses, ensuring proper coding.
· Assisted with month-end closing activities, such as journal entries.
· Manage cash and monitor cash balances.
· Work closely with Property Managers to ensure accurate and timely rent payments and to process and record move-ins and move-outs.
· Manage and maintain supporting schedules for general ledgers accounts.
· Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to prevent accounting errors.
· Utilize accounting software (e.g., Jenark, Yardi, MRI QuickBooks,) to maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
· Assisted in the preparation of financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
· Participated in annual budget planning and variance analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
· Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
· Prepare mailings and priority shipments for the Finance/Accounting Department.
· Assist office by answering phone calls time-to-time.
Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, or business preferred.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
