Laboratory Technician / Chemist – Breathing Air Analysis Laboratory

Our team of professional and qualified lab experts specialize in the analysis of compressed air and gas used for various applications including: ISO Certified Breathing Air, Manufacturing Air Quality Testing, Food and Beverage Processing Safety, and Medical Air Equipment sampling.
In this role, Laboratory Technicians are responsible for registration of samples, preparation for testing, and performing the air quality analysis utilizing lab equipment. With support of the Lab Director, the Lab Technician will be trained to operate highly complex test equipment (GC & GCMS), understand instrumentation and hardware for data collection, processing of all types of compressed air samples, operate laboratory software systems for data entry, reviewing client reports & historical data and maintaining the overall efficiency of automated lab processes.
Essential Lab Duties & Responsibilities
The Lab Assistant will perform a variety of job duties, including but not limited to the following:
- Assist clients with test selections, provide analytical test proposal and process invoice.
- Register, monitor, maintenance of field test samples and record keeping according to ISO requirements.
- Operate lab equipment, prepare sampling and calibration of gases.
- Utilize data collection software, compare and record analysis results, prepare for certification.
- Inventory, ordering, receiving and maintenance of laboratory reagents and consumables.
- Prepare Breathing Air and Industrial Air field sample kits for technician pick-up/shipping
Experience / Education / Skills
- Full-Time position: Bachelors Degree in Chemistry
- Ability to perform multi-task functions in the lab setting
- Operate Lab Equipment (GC / GCMS) and complete detailed analytical reports
- Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrates strong communication skills for interaction with Military, Fire Department, and Industry personnel
