High School Girls Volleyball Coach
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience playing volleyball, as well as an ability to demonstrate proper technique to athletes.
- We are looking for someone who is positive and encouraging of athletes, teaching the sport in a student-centered manner and enjoys being a part of a school community.
- Be able to stand and walk the court without difficulty for an extended period of time, carry and lift 10 - 20 pounds of equipment, and be able to physically demonstrate the sport
Responsibilities
- Attend team practices weekdays from 4:30pm to 6:00pm and league games starting at 5:30pm.
- Assists athletes in their development of volleyball knowledge, technique, and skills
- Support and encourage the development of sportsmanship, character, respect, and teamwork in athletes.
- Provides opportunities for athletes to get appropriate playing time throughout the season
- Communicate to the Athletic Director, other coaches, and key members of administration promptly and consistently.
- Demonstrate and encourage respectful and responsible behavior when hosting other teams and visiting other schools
- Will need to complete:
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- NFHS Concussion, Heat Illness, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching Certification
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
