NuWatt Energy is looking for an exceptional individual who is knowledgeable and experienced with heat pump / mini split / HVAC systems, willing to manage our HP/MS department. We are a turnkey solar installation company, having recently expanded into the heat pump business due to its rapid growth in demand.
We are looking for a driven and experienced Manager who can effectively lead the heat pump / mini split department.
Homeowners find immense value in going solar and installing heat pumps as covered by solar energy. With all the state incentives and top-quality equipment & service that we offer, homeowners will have little trouble picking NuWatt Energy for their solar & heat pump needs.
Regarding sales: because we offer both solar and heat pump, many of our direct leads will have been initially interested in a solar system, and might be looking to install both systems. Some will eventually decide on only solar, or only heat pump. As an integrated specialist, while the goal is to sell a heat pump system, we strongly encourage solar knowledge and know how to explain the benefits of going solar with a heat pump system. Adequate training resources are available.
As a heat pump sales manager, you will be expected to:
- Oversee sales & operations of heat pump department
- Build, train, and manage small sales team (1-2 sales reps to start)
- Coordinate with the heat pump installer to ensure seamless installation and customer satisfaction
- Show willingness to develop the Department based on experience, suggestions, etc.
- Maintain relations with vendors, including placing orders and keeping up to date on product line
- Find leads organically via networking, trade shows, etc.; Company will provide leads on occasion*
- Connect with, and stay on top of, leads interested in mini splits / heat pumps*
- Conduct site visits to collect information for heat pump projects, for new and existing leads*
- Conduct Manual J & other calculations as needed*
- Adequately explain the benefits of heat pumps*
- Assist homeowner with rebate & loan paperwork*
- Maintain consistent communication with the client to discuss scheduling and logistics of the heat pump project*
* These tasks can be delegated to sales rep, but you are responsible for adequate completion.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary is strictly proportionate to level of expertise in the field; $90k – $110k.
- EOY Bonuses according to annual gross sales.
- Commissions schedule to incentive sales.

Position is in-person, with office HQ located in Chelmsford, MA.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of heat pump / mini split / HVAC experience. We will consider less experience if you prove your drive and willingness to meet or exceed our expectations.
- 2+ years of sales experience preferred.
- Honesty & reliability are key traits in an ideal candidate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be willing to drive to sites across MA & contingent states.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
