Duties/Responsibilities:
- Duties include handling litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution.
- Attorney will complete extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations, negotiate on behalf of clients, draft and interpret contracts and legal documents.
- Attending court hearings and trials, preparing pleadings and letters, handling discovery requests and taking depositions.
- Draft motions, responses and other filings in state and federal court cases
- Appear in court, take and defend depositions, interact with clients
- Manage litigation dockets with an understanding of scheduling orders and case strategy
- Handle discovery matters, including discovery requests, responses and motions
- Investigate facts with an innovative and pragmatic approach
Qualifications:
- Admission to the Florida Bar and in good standing.
- Spanish speaking
- 2+ of litigation experience, with a focus on first party property insurance law.
- Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims processes, and applicable laws and regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
