Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Rate: $2,700 Weekly
Shift: 36hrs - 3x12hrs - D/E/N Rotating
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Rochester, NY. The ICU Registered Nurse will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Assess patients' conditions, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Perform advanced nursing interventions, including but not limited to ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and invasive procedures.
- Coordinate and prioritize patient care activities based on acuity and urgency.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and comprehensively in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care conferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in the ICU.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New York.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, with at least one year of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
