CPMNV is a small, but rapidly growing commercial property management company native to Reno, Nevada. We currently manage over 40 buildings totaling over 2 million square feet with over 200 tenants. We take a hands-on, personal approach with each client and each investment.
Job Description:
CPMNV is looking for a thorough General Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of preserving the condition and functionality of multiple premises. This Role will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as: basic plumbing, basic HVAC, basic electrical, painting, landscaping, etc.
A General Maintenance Technician is a highly professional individual with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly, observing all health and safety guidelines as well as being in good physical condition and strength. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements on commercial properties. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of commercial properties to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and business operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Perform general building repairs and maintenance, including painting, drywall repair, and flooring installation.
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services as needed.
- Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of building systems and equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants and address their maintenance concerns promptly and professionally.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests outside of regular working hours.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial property maintenance or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity and good sense of direction within the Reno/Sparks/Carson area as properties are spread throughout
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS).
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to various weather conditions.
- Requires physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
