Job Title: Receiver
Reports To: Receiving Lead
Exempt Status: Non-exempt
Starting Wage/Pay Type (if applicable): $17/Hour, or DOE
Work Days/Hours: Depends on agreed upon schedule
Purpose:
To embody and fulfill the ZBO Mission to do our outmost to assist our customers in their efforts to alleviate pain and improve the quality of life for their patients, while fully supporting our ZBO teammates and our Zimmer Biomet partners. Our receiving department is responsible for accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner checking in implant and instrument inventory returned from surgery cases. Receiving is also responsible in ensuring that all inventory is put away on the shelves or floor in their correct bin locations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effective use of verbal and electronic communications with the operations’ staff
- Working in a team to identify needs and solve problems
- Individual item number check against set list for accuracy of instrumentation
- Macro and micro verification of each implant tote within SMS
- Learning and using our Surgery Management System (SMS)
- Filling incomplete implant totes with restock within SMS
- Inspecting instrumentation for wear and debris while checking it in, quality control
- Properly and accurately returning product to warehouse shelf locations upon check-in
- Multi-tasking while working alone and in a team
- Daily lifting and carrying inventory in the warehouse
- Maintaining inventory accuracy and organization of office shelves or area where inventory belongs
- Understand principles of stock location and arrangement of materials
- Work in a busy warehouse environment
- Able to take instruction from others well and change tasks at any moment to fulfill needs of all coordinators
- Occasionally assist with consignments trays
Basic and Technical Skills/Qualification Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods
- Ability to move, lift and carry inventory throughout the day
- Ability to perform repetitive keyboard/mouse skills
- Ability to be extremely organized, efficient, and detailed oriented while multi-tasking
- Ability to use warehouse tools such as box cutter, tape gun, zip ties, carts, hand trucks, etc.
- Accuracy is a must
Social Skills:
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude most of the time
- Initiative to do more than asked to do
- Ability to understand that we are a team and that all actions or lack of actions have an effect on the team
- Self-motivated to complete job duties without being micromanaged or asked to do
- Ability to work in a noisy & stressful environment
- Ability to work alone quietly for long periods of time, focusing on checking in inventory is a must
