Position: Operations Associate
Standard Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm M-F, 9:30am – 3:00pm S
Duties:
- Create and maintain the Load Schedule each day, working with the Warehouse Manager and the rest of the Operations team to ensure it is implemented.
- Working closely with account managers and other staff to keep accurate and efficient shipping and receiving schedules.
- Preparing and presenting necessary paperwork to drivers.
- Prepare and send daily operations report, and weekly operations and sales report.
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, and quality standards resolve problems; complete audits.
- Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
- Organize the transfer of materials between locations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues.
- Explain to third-party drivers how to safely transport and secure our materials.
- Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout, and needed implement changes.
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are properly inspected and maintained.
- Look for opportunities to expand systems.
- Developing new solutions as new problems arise.
- Ensuring that the department delivers quality offerings to clients.
