Full Time Licensed Mental Health Clinician
Programs For People, Inc. is a small nonprofit agency which provides Psychiatric Day Treatment and Employment Services for low-income adults with serious mental health challenges in the MetroWest region. Programs For People, Inc. was founded to help those recovering to engage more successfully in all aspects of life. Our citizen Board of Directors, multidisciplinary professional staff and volunteers are dedicated to dispelling stigma about mental health conditions and believe that everyone can lead a meaningful and fulfilling life and make a contribution to their community. Our services are comprehensively designed to help clients develop coping strategies, build healthy relationships, manage activities of daily living, and obtain and maintain employment. We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinician to become part of our multidisciplinary team. Our ideal candidate would possess the following attributes:
Experience working with clients who have complex and serious mental health challenges; licensed in Mental Health Counselling (LMHC); Nursing (RN/MSN); Social Work (LICSW); or Rehabilitation Counselling (CRC), who is qualified to supervise interns in their discipline. Experience treating substance use disorders a plus; bilingual or some fluency in Spanish or Portuguese a plus. Ability to work well with a small clinical team. Enthusiasm and passion for the recovery, rehabilitation and wellness of our client population.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing group therapy (varied topics and formats)
- Providing counselling and case management for assigned clients.
- Being an active presence in the clinical milieu.
- With other staff, plan and implement clinical treatment plans for clients.
- Coordinate treatment with clients' outside service providers and support system.
- Develop relationships with outside agencies to encourage and facilitate appropriate client referrals to the program.
