Summary:
The Child Mind Institute is recruiting a Clinician for the School and Community Programs. Breaking down barriers to care, the Professional Training team engages in collaborative relationships with school partners to build on strengths and increase capacity for sustainable access to mental wellness for students. These training programs bring a suite of evidence-based services to prevent and treat student mental health disorders in school and community settings, including a K-12 mental health skill-building curriculum and evidence-based treatment to children and teens struggling with posttraumatic stress, behavior, attention, mood, or learning disorders.
The Clinician will be responsible for implementing trauma-informed practices within schools and communities as part of the Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI) grant. This 2-year, grant-funded position will focus on promoting social and emotional well-being, preventing behavioral health challenges, and providing equitable, appropriate, timely, and accessible services for children and youth. The Clinician will provide a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills group to middle and high school students in the Bay Area and will later train other clinicians in soon-to-be-identified school districts to facilitate the group with their students.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Professional Training, School and Community Programs, this is an exempt, full-time position hybrid based at our Bay area headquarters.
