Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed orders and protocols
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Document medication administration accurately and timely in electronic medical records systems such as Cerner or Epic
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective medication management
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized medication storage area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medication Technician training program or certification
- Previous experience working in a medical office or acute care setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Cerner or Epic is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
