POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the overall operation of the laundry facility and to assure there is an adequate supply of linen available to meet the supply demand of the hotel; maintain the linen inventory by keeping the discards to a minimum.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receive/retrieve dirty linen from housekeeping staff and store rooms.
Separate the linens and towels by type.
Separate stained linen from the regular loads to re-claim.
Wash laundry following the proper loading procedures.
Dry laundry and ensure proper equipment settings to avoid over drying linen.
Maintain the organization of the laundry room.
Maintain the rotation periods for the linen.
Maintain the chemical stock for housekeeping and laundry.
Follow all safety and OSHA regulations and other applicable state and local regulations.
Follow all Blood Borne Pathogens regulations.
Maintain discards to a minimum by following the Company laundry and re-claiming procedures.
Help in the organization and count of Linen Inventories.
Keep accurate inventory of discard linen.
Ensure an adequate supply of linen is available.
Fold and store linen/terry in appropriate areas.
Maintain cleanliness of the machines, including the cleaning of lint from dryers.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Clean and service guest rooms as needed.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Housekeeping experience preferred.
General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safety preferred.
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to understand and comprehend English preferred.
Ability to operate company issued hand-held electronic devices such as tablets as required for business purposes.
Organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow written directions.
Obtain any locally required certifications.
