Regional Nurse (RN)
Located throughout Northern Illinois
A company that owns multiple skilled nursing facilities throughout_ Northern Illinois _is looking for a strong Regional Nurse.
Salary ranges from $130K to $140K depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with each community, regional team, and corporate clinical team to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.
- Travel to each community location to provide onsite support. Site visits should be performed Monday through Thursday. Fridays are a home office day but depending on the needs of the assigned communities, may need to be a community on-site day. Site visits should be documented appropriately at the conclusion of each visit.
- Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations.
- Oversee process implementation and adherence to nursing policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality care of residents.
- Conduct annual and complaint survey preparation, as well as engage in PQAPI mock surveys with follow-up visits. The regulatory process must be communicated and taught to the leadership in the communities.
- Oversee team member management and staffing.
- Participate in orientation and professional development of DONs and other nurse managers.
- Review clinical systems and programs such as skin, falls, infection control, admissions, discharges, weight loss, psychotropics, etc and suggest improvements in processes where needed.
- Review all investigations that are performed at the communities prior to final submission to state. All POC’s, IDRs, Past Non-compliances, etc, should all be reviewed by the Regional Nurse prior to the community sending to state. All reportable events in each community should be logged appropriately for tracking and trending.
- Oversee compliance to the QAPI program.
- Oversee compliance of annual education in each community and encourage nurse education on clinical complexities.
- Report significant events to the designated Director of Clinical Operations for guidance and direction as needed. Significant events include situations that are of high scope and severity as well as situations that are of high risk.
- Attend clinical leadership calls as scheduled.
Qualifications of the Regional Nurse:
- Supporting multiple facilities within central and northern, IL.
- Travel and potential overnights
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse (RN) program and licensed in the state of practice, required.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON).
- Prior experience in management and leadership in a clinical leadership environment required.
- Excellent project management, presentation, and strong planning and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated success in operational process improvement and performance management.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (All SNFs; ALFs as required by state).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of federal and state survey processes.
- Excellent knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory compliance and clinical practices within the scope of long-term care.
