Accounting Manager
You’ll be part of an accounting team of seven, in a business that has over 100 employees and continues to grow.
Typically, you’ll work with 1-2 Project Managers on assigned projects, which you’ll see through to project completion, so prior experience working with multiple PMs is a must.
There’s an opportunity to lead a small team, including two Project Accountants while reporting to the CFO.
The role will also include operational functions, including payroll, ensuring purchase orders are signed, and liaising with subcontractors on insurance.
The company is a mid-sized GC/CM based in Manhattan that completes commercial construction projects, including corporate interiors, hospitality, lobby renovations, MEP upgrades, amenity spaces, and rooftops. Typical projects are $2m-10m and will include larger complex interior and renovation projects up to $50m.
About you:
- Project Accountant/ Accounting or similar role within a construction company
- Experience with payroll preferred
- Proficiency in an accounting software (DocuWare and Sage Intacct preferred but not essential)
- Some team leadership/ management experience preferred
- College degree in accounting/ finance is preferred but not essential
