We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior Buyer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will procure goods and services and ensure that cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
You will manage NPI shortages, quote electronics components, identify cost-saving opportunities, and oversee excess inventory.
Additionally, you will lead SOP, cost optimization, BOM management, and mentoring initiatives.
This is primarily a remote position that requires arriving in the Portland area on a monthly basis
Responsibilities
· Purchase goods, materials, components, or services according to specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
· Ensure a continuous supply of required goods and materials, communicating any supply problems that may pose a risk or impact business operations.
· Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers.
· Research and evaluate areas of opportunity to reduce costs where possible.
· Deliver briefs, updates, and reports as needed.
· Develop creative and innovative procurement processes.
· Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance, and work towards a continuous improvement strategy.
· Conduct recon activities.
· Create KPI files and report to the customer.
· Act as the 1st level escalation point of contact for customer support.

Education: B.A. degree required.
Experience:
· 3-5 years of experience in inventory planning and supply chain management preferred.
· Customer service experience.
Additional Requirements:
· Willingness to travel to the Portland, Oregon area once a month.
