Position Description:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Louisville seeks a full-time faculty member in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. This position will provide clinical services at University Hospital, our outpatient office, and our outreach hospital site.� Additionally, MFM provides in-patient and outpatient imaging services for the patients of University Hospital, a Level III facility. The department's generalist faculty provides 24/7 in-house resident oversight.� MFM call is primarily telephone back up for acute complications of pregnancy and coordination of Maternal Transport requests.
The U of L Department of Ob-Gyn and Women's Health is comprised of 17 full-time physician faculty with representation of board-certified subspecialties of MFM, Gynecologic Oncology, and Female Pelvic Medicine Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) and members with focused practice in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery (MIGS) and Advanced Family Planning. Our team also includes three Certified Nurse Midwives and four women's health Nurse Practitioners. The department has a strong residency program of 24 residents that actively participate in section activities during their training. Current fellowship programs include FPMRS, MIGS.
Applicants must possess an MD degree, must have completed an accredited Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship and be board certified or eligible in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and in the subspecialty in Maternal Fetal Medicine.
