The Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://med.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The Division of Nephrology-Hypertension is recruiting academic nephrologists for faculty positions.
The Division continues to expand its clinical care for patients with end-stage kidney disease receiving different modes of dialysis and apheresis care.
Responsibilities for this position include the full spectrum of in-patient and outpatient nephrology care, including continuous dialysis therapies in critically ill patients, apheresis care, plasmapheresis, cellular pheresis procedures, continuous renal replacement therapy modalities, invasive procedures, end-stage renal disease care, consultation, and the delivery of new models of healthcare in the nephrology space. The successful candidates will also be responsible for providing high-quality training, teaching, and/or research.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
