ASSISTANT MANAGER
Reports To: Store Manager
Supervises: Department Managers & Sales Associates
General Purpose of Position: As part of the management team, the Sales Assistant Manager works directly with the Store Manager to ensure the responsibilities of day-to-day management and sales goals of the retail store are being met. The Sales Assistant Manager helps with implementing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. The Assistant Manager is responsible for opening and closing the store when the Store Manager is not present. An Assistant Manager is a leader and must have the ability to make informative decisions, solve problems in a critical and diligent manner, and effectively manage the store when the Store Manager is not present.
Responsibilities/Duties
· Responsible for customer service training and scheduling of on-sight vendor training to ensure sales associates have the correct product knowledge and skills to meet customer service expectations.
· Interview, hire, train and create a positive work environment in order to retain staff.
· Assists with scheduling sales staff to maximize profitability.
· Assists with orientation, training, and development of sales associates in company policies and standards.
· Ensures safekeeping of all TYLER’S property.
· Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards.
· Keeps sales associates on task with the daily duties delegated by the merchandiser & other management.
· Provides support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.
· Processes sales transactions, returns, and special orders, and ensures that all related documentation is accurate and complete.
· Leads and directs the work of others.
· Works to prevent damage and theft of merchandise.
· Assists in management of store operations.
· Keeps the Store Manager well informed of activities and significant issues.

Job Requirements
· Must have at least 3 years of high volume sales manager experience or 3 years of low volume store manager experience.
· Available to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Availability to work the hours necessary to open and/or close the store.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
