We are looking for a passionate and ambitious clinician to join our growing team in our new facility.
Position Summary:
In this role, the counselor primarily concentrates on delivering individual therapy and facilitating group sessions within an outpatient setting. Key clinical responsibilities encompass intake and assessment, family interventions, care coordination, crisis management and clinical case oversight. The IOP Counselor also collaborates with their assigned caseload develop treatment plans and make referrals for clients. Additionally, they are responsible for various counseling services and administrative tasks, including treatment planning, record keeping, documentation, and other clinical obligations as designated.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan meetings
- Share relevant information with the team, acquired from clients' families or other sources as necessary throughout the the program
- Attend daily and weekly staffing meetings as per the provided schedule.
- Evaluate the impact of therapeutic interventions on the therapeutic environment
- Lead group sessions.
- Conduct individual group sessions with clients and their families.
- Maintain ongoing documentation of client progress/regression and the interventions provided in the medical record.
- Recognize, respond to, and assist in psychiatric crisis situations, providing necessary interventions.
- Respond to and assist in medical emergency situations as directed and as need.
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff and physicians.
- Provide clients with education and guidance on Advance Directives.
- Attend and actively participate in monthly program staff meetings as scheduled.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Education, Licensure & experience
- Applicants must possess a LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor), Massachusetts eligible Masters's level Clinician, LCSW (licensed Clinical Social Worker), or LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) Licensure.
- A minimum of two years experience in substance abuse or mental health treatment setting is a prerequisite.
- Previous experience with clinical methods and techniques used in individual, family and group therapy, particularly in relation to mental health and/or substance abuse issues is mandatory.
- A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are essential.
- Bachelors with two year experience in SUD welcome to apply.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
