We are seeking a full time Warehouse Assistant to work in our small distribution center in Santa Fe, located near junction of I-25 and SR 599.
Schedule is 7am to 3:45pm, Monday-Friday. (Including 45 minute unpaid lunch break)
Pay is $20/hr

Essential Duties
Unloading and Loading:
Meet trucks and assist drivers with loading and unloading to facility fast pick-ups and deliveries
Use warehouse equipment such as fork truck and pallet jack efficiently and safely for loading and unloading
Accuracy - Examine incoming shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy; accept or reject shipments as appropriate
Quality Control - Inspect condition of products and materials on arrival for damage or abnormalities; refuse shipments, if necessary, report damage to drivers prior to departure and report to supervisor
Stocking:
Practice safe storage & stacking of all materials
Inventory / Space Management - Strategically break-out, warehouse, and shelve new inventory for efficient workflow and use of warehouse space
Maintain clear and accurate labeling of bins, cartons, and shelves to facilitate stock counts and minimize picking errors
Keep all stock visible or easily accessible
Re-inspect products for abnormalities & damage as stocked
Returns and damaged goods handling:
Place rejected and damaged goods into quarantine area for review by supervisor
Place customer product returns in returns processing area for processing by supervisor
Production, assembly, packaging, and supportive tasks:
Perform in-house production of retail products, including but not limited to: water tanks, gaskets, stone guard arms. These projects may include training on and use of production machinery, hand and power tools (e.g. drill, driver, chop saw, router, machine press, etc.), and technology
Assemble and package kits for retail sale. For example, measure, cut and bag weatherstrip.
Take initiative to perform supportive tasks, like preparing shipping cartons or wrapping products for shipping.
Custodial, physical plant maintenance, and landscaping:
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and order of floors, surfaces, and workspaces
On a regular schedule clean and detail offices, public spaces, hallways, meeting rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, warehouse, shipping and receiving areas
Monitor and attend to exterior appearance of building, parking areas, entrance, landscaping, and other elements of the grounds and the exterior physical plant - which may include the use of power tools
Manage waste including trash, recycling, and breaking down cartons
Perform basic installation, maintenance, and repairs of furnishings, hardware, lighting, etc. in and around the facility (e.g. shelving, door hardware, light bulbs, etc.)
Collaborate with supervisor(s) to prioritize tasks and projects according to the needs of the company, team, and facility
Maintain written records of custodial rounds, maintenance projects completed
General Duties:
Make use of technology like inventory management software for receiving and stocking
Practice personal and workplace safety per company and regulatory guidelines
Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Maintain a professional appearance suitable for interaction with customers and vendors
Perform other duties, tasks and projects as requested by supervisor
Basic Requirements:
High school graduation or GED equivalent
Proficiency in the use of English
Ability to work in a group or independently at high level of performance
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Use email and basic technology for business operations
Basic math computation skills for example: counting as it relates to inventory
Reliable transportation to and from work
Pass criminal background and reference checks
Physical Requirements:
Bending down and reaching overhead repetitively
Ascend and descend ladders repetitively
Ability to stand (including walking) for long periods
Ability to handle items ranging up to 50 pounds, with a minimum of 25 pounds repetitively
Ability to withstand working conditions which may include:
Cold and hot temperatures
Poor lighting
Loud and repetitive noise
Use of cleaning products
Preferred:
Ability to operate a fork truck and / or pallet jack safely and efficiently
Experience in warehouse / stock room
Experience with light industrial production and assembly
Experience with hand and power tools (e.g. drill, driver, chop saw, router, machine press, etc.)
Spanish language proficiency
