ACCOUNT MANAGER
Description of Responsibilities
The Account Manager serves as the main point of contact for all customer account management and business development in an assigned territory.

CEO or Business Development Manager
Scope of Supervision
Responsibilities of the Account Manger include the following:
1. Evaluate, pursue, and maintain prescription referral relationships with prescriber offices within your assigned geographic territory.
2. Serve as main point of contact for all customer account management matters.
3. Inform internal staff of referral source’s specific details and customer service needs and collaborate with the appropriate pharmacy personnel to develop procedures to meet those needs.
4. Build and maintain strong client relationships through a mix of inside and outside sales techniques.
5. Develop new business and identify areas of potential improvement .
6. Facilitate solutions to customer needs in tandem with Facility Coordinator and Pharmacist
7. Maintain up to date knowledge of all pharmacy procedures/medication offerings.
8. Maintain accurate client records and interactions using our company CRM system.
9. Track and manage incurred expenses with fiscal responsibility and according to company policies.
10. Contribute to company-wide marketing efforts as needed.
The following functions require the professional judgment of a pharmacist and may not be performed by a pharmacy technician:
1. Acceptance of verbal prescriptions.
2. Certification of filled prescriptions.
3. Weighing or measuring active drug ingredients without verification by a pharmacist.
4. Reconstitution of prefabricated medication without verification by a pharmacist.
5. Entry of orders into the computer system without verification by pharmacist.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
2. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.
3. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (if operating in state which requires certification).
4. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations.
5. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
6. Ability to travel 50% of the work week, Driver’s License in good standing
Physical Requirements

2. The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
