Administrative Support Specialist
Join our team at East River Electric Power Cooperative! Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual looking to provide administrative support within a positive work environment? We are seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting our safety program and the engineering and operations teams. The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.
At East River Electric Power Cooperative we're dedicated to providing reliable and affordable wholesale power to our members across 40,000 square miles of service area. As a not-for-profit generation and transmission cooperative, we provide electricity to 24 rural electric distribution cooperatives and one municipally owned electric system serving eastern South Dakota and western Minnesota. Our members, in turn, power the lives of the member-owners in their service territories.

Maintain an active calendar of meetings, prepare meeting materials, and document meeting minutes.

Create professional documents and presentations.

Maintain and update databases and spreadsheets.

Assist with scheduling, organizing, and tracking various employee safety training activities.

Ensure the accuracy and quality of written content before it is published or distributed.

Coordinate employee conference registrations and travel plans.

Compile and maintain corporate records and databases.

Collaborate with the administrative team to provide external and internal customer service and backup the reception area as needed.
- Prioritize tasks, taking proactive approaches and ensuring successful project completion.

A degree in business or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of administrative support experience preferred (A combination of education, skills, and relevant work experience will be considered.)

Strong competency in proofreading skills and ability to produce professional and accurate documents

Keen attention to detail and organizational skills

Outstanding communication and customer service skills

Ability to work under pressure at times

Demonstrated computer skills in using MS Office products, specifically PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Outlook
