Position Requirements:
Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager preferred
- Must continue on-going education course work to remain well versed in all areas of the position.
Experience requirements:
- Work exposure to all aspects of a business enterprise, with demonstrated competence in budgeting and financial reporting and in staff management.
- Minimum three years working in business management.
Personal requirements:
- Must be able to work under the broad general administrative supervision of the owners and doctors, and to be able to use sound personal judgment in selecting methods, establishing priorities, and arriving at conclusions.
- Must be able to tactfully demonstrate “take charge” capabilities.
Competencies:
The following knowledge, skills, abilities are necessary to be successful in this job:
Knowledge of customer service best practices and principles.
Knowledge of basic math and finance principles and practices.
Knowledge of service industry principles and practices, including opening, closing and day to day operations, and inventory management.
Knowledge of hospital and pet resort services, promotions, and incentives.
Knowledge of pet care, handling of pets, basic pet health, medications, and pet safety.
Knowledge of mechanical functions of common equipment such as washers, dryers, computers, and software.
Knowledge of Microsoft products, including excel spreadsheets.
Knowledge of QuickBooks financial software
Knowledge of basic human resource principles and practices to include performance management, coaching, development, interviewing and discipline.
Knowledge of safety policies, laws, and regulations.
Ability to effectively lead and provide direction to others.
Ability to collect and analyze information, evaluate, and interpret data and reports, draw conclusions based on the data and make decisions based on those conclusions.
Ability to provide effective guidance, instruction, mentorship, and planning to team members while keeping a positive attitude.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with superiors, colleagues, subordinates, and leaders outside the organization.
Ability to use software, phones, and computers to assist customers and team members.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
