Position Summary
We are seeking an associate spine representative to be on call to provide on site dedicated assistance in the operating room to guide hospital staff with proper instrumentation implant handling and technique, and inventory management.
May be required to work during after-hours including weekends and holidays. Will work an average of 3 to 5 times per week at most with shifts averaging 6 hours.
Training will be provided for the following:
- Knowledge of care and instruction for spinal instrumentation and implants appropriately.
- Accurate inventory management of all implants and instrumentation in surgical cases.
- Guidance of implant procedures by anticipating the needs of physicians.
- How to work efficiently with physicians and RN’s in the variety of surgical procedures.
- OR and instrumenation sterile technique.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy related to procedures.
- Knowledge of techniques for various procedures.
- Assemble and troubleshoot all equipment procedures.
- HIPAA training
Job Requirements in addition to above knowledge include:
- Ensure all necessary equipment is in the room prior to the start of a case.
- Pick up inventory from Fedex shipping department or office and deliver to Sterile Processing departments.
- Demonstrate good use of personal protective equipment and universal precautions.
- Ensure an adequate stock of supplies and proper function of all loaned equipment.
- Maintain technical skill level and adapts to changes in surgical technique and operative intervention modalities.
- Demonstrate a constructive approach during all interactions with staff and nurse manager toward the organization.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and respect to patient’s comfort and rights/privacy.
- Limited sick calls according to established policy and procedures.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application.
All independent contractors are required to provide proof of vaccination status in accordance to the state mandate orders, pass a drug test, and criminal background check
Minimum Education
- High School graduate or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in OR/OB preferred.

Pay: $4,500.00 - $9,500.00 per month
