Your Opportunity as a Plant Manager
Coordinate efforts of all bakery operations to assure production and distribution of consistent quality products, in the most efficient manner possible, while ensuring compliance with government regulations in the areas of employee safety, food safety, environmental, and employment practices. Manage operations according to Key Performance Indicators.
Location: Chicago, IL Manufacturing Plant
Work Arrangements: 100% on-site
In this role you will be:
• Responsible for plant performance in accordance with Strategic Business Area objectives for product supply, absorption, manufacturing variances, safety, quality, sustainability, cost center budgets, and capital project management
• Responsible for implementation and advancement of Continuous Improvement Programs
• Responsible for development and advancement of JMS Culture and employee engagement across the organization
• Responsible for managing the customer-supplier relationships with corporate services, marketing, research and development, engineering and our external suppliers and vendors
• Responsible for staffing and professional development of plant leaders, and driving high performance work culture and systems
• Responsible for developing the plant vision and master plan, capital budget, expense budget, and other strategic planning
• Managing the relationship with local city representatives to maintain positive community relations, and ensure compliance with all regulations
• Owning Safety Key Element 1 and set the standard for safety across the organization

What We are Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Continuous Improvement, TPM, Lean, Six Sigma or other experience with the implementation of High Performing Work Systems
• Successful experience leading, coaching and managing leaders
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
• Prior Plant Manager experience
• Knowledge of GMP, PC, OSHA, FDA, and USDA regulations strongly preferred
