Here we grow again! Come join the PHS team with an Orthopedic Surgeon as his in-office X-ray Technician. The new office will be opening on August 1st, and we are looking for a fully certified X-ray Technician to join the team.
Position Summary
The X-Ray Technicion is responsible for the safe and compliant operation of X-ray technologies to produce digital images; giving the ability to providers to diagnose and treat diseases and injuries. It is key that the X-ray Technicion be an integral member of a collaborate team to deliver top care to all patients.
Primary Functions & Accountabilities
- Prepare patient for radiological procedures and follow established procedures for patient care and safety in accordance with established procedures
- Protect patients, yourself and other staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards and guidelines
- Obtain quality images/ radiographs of patients in an acceptable timeframe; process and accurately digitize images with correct patient data; prepare and position patient as needed to obtain accuracy in the requested image
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local compliance requirements and regulations and follow the principals of radiation safety
- Prepare room and patient for radiographic procedure(s)
- Review for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Comply with radiation safety guidelines and operate radiographic equipment safely
- Conduct pre-examination and evaluation and document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history
- Maintain equipment and supplies; sterilize and prepare instruments as needed
- Demonstrate willingness to assist in additional duties throughout the office
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT)
- Graduate of accredited school of radiology
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiology Technician; preferably in an operating room, surgery center, or hospital setting
- BLS preferred
- Demonstrate and provide a high level of patient care in a professional and courteous manner
- Work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
