Interview Process: 3-4 rounds
Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership Team, this DMM will have responsibility for growing the
Personal Care division of Client. This individual will be responsible for the development of the brand strategy,
category strategy and product assortment. Initially, tasked with leveraging professional Brand relationships to
drive Client’s growth in this area, this DMM will be responsible for growing beyond the current portfolio of
brands, creating a broad range of brands across these categories. As the brand portfolio grows, they will be
responsible for directing the buying, planning and traditional merchandising activities of their division.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build Brand portfolio strategy for the department. Leverage relationships to drive
opportunities build partnership between Client and these brands.
- Collaborates with the Senior Leadership Team to develop Brand, Category, and Item plans.
- Begin to build a buying team that will support the ongoing buying, merchandising, and
assortment planning.
- Continually manage key business relationships with our top brand executives and continually
onboarding new brands.
- Identify white space opportunity to maximize demand, deliver incremental volume and
revenue.
- In addition to growth plans, possess a sound and creative vision for “new” areas of
opportunity based on market trends.
- Highly capable of presenting logical and well-thought-out strategies to vendors and other
stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate trends in the marketplace to keep the product mix on the cutting edge
of consumer demand.
- Assess the market regularly regarding market share, pricing, trends, marketing, and product
strategy.
- Develop and enhance the Company’s vendor relationships and work with the buyers to
maximize those relationships.
- Manage performance and adjust merchandise plan and forecasting based on retail data.
A strong understanding of inventory and merchandise planning and systems.
- Drive product sales and improve user experience and customer satisfaction.
- Remain current on best practices that support Client, Amazon and brands’ objectives
- Analyze data and metric dashboard with performance indicators to inform all decisions to
improve sales and profitability.
