Quality Documentation Specialist/Regulatory Needed!

The Quality Documentation Specialist is a team player with an outgoing, long-term career-minded approach to daily responsibilities. This is a great career opportunity in food manufacturing. This is an ONSITE position.
The Quality Documentation Specialist, under the direction of the VP Technical and Quality Manager, will complete and maintain documentation to ensure the compliance of quality standards is achieved. The Quality Documentation Specialist will implement corrective actions to maintain the highest level of food safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate regulatory compliance activities.
- Assist in HACCP and SQF requirements. Update according to regulatory change requirements.
- Inspect, manage and maintain documentation for internal inspections and external audits.
- Assist the VP Technical and Quality Manager in implementing quality policies and procedures, safety practices and standards to ensure all products meet Sabater quality, food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Perform microbiology testing, when needed.
- Work with the VP Technical and Quality Manager to develop and implement programs to monitor customer or vendor issues/complaint reports. Assist with and track responses and investigations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- A Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Regulatory in the food manufacturing industry is required.
- PCQI, SQF practitioner or HACCP certification (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) preferred. Understand, implement, and maintain HACCP food safety.
- Must have knowledge and experience of SQF Management System, CGMP, and FSMA.
- Persuasive interpersonal skills and strong oral communication skills.
- Self-directed and independent.
- Strong work ethic, high energy level and positive attitude. Long-term career minded individual.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
- Move and work around a lab environment.
- Wear Common Protective or Safety Equipment.
This position is on-site position. Pay range: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour.
