Position Summary
As a Fund Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting product development for our global capital markets teams. Your meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders will ensure compliance and facilitate seamless fund transactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Transaction Processing:
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy of capital markets transactions related to fund operations, including purchases, redemptions, transfers, and distributions.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of transactions and holdings against records maintained by external custodians or administrators.
- Work alongside the capital markets team to drive sales orders to completion.
- Engage directly with Financial Advisors, Qualified Intermediaries, and other 3rd Parties to facilitate the transaction process.
- Walk through the submission of documents and transaction processes with relevant parties, ensuring clarity and compliance at every step.
2. Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to both internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records, documenting operational processes and compliance activities.
3. Product Development and Legal Coordination:
- Collaborate in the development and updating of fund products, including reviewing Fund legal documents, Ad Hoc Fund documents, and other Fund related items as necessary.
- Work closely with law firms and internal teams to ensure all fund documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the structuring of new funds and products to ensure operational and legal compliance.
4. Fund Performance Analysis:
- Assist in analyzing fund performance data and generating performance reports for management review.
- Prepare materials for quarterly fund performance reviews and board meetings.
- Contribute to the preparation of materials for quarterly fund performance reviews and board meetings.
5. Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a key point of contact for inquiries from broker dealers, RIAs, and other stakeholders regarding fund operations.
- Coordinate with external service providers, including custodians, auditors, and third-party administrators, to ensure efficient execution of fund operations.
6. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency and reducing risks.
- Participate in the deployment of new systems or technologies to improve fund operational capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in fund operations or a similar role within a financial services environment preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
