Duties:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
- Present product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to clients
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals tailored to meet customer needs
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet revenue targets
- Provide exceptional customer service before and after the sale
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Allied Truss Texas is in search of an experienced Residential and Commercial Outside Sales Representative possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly identify customer goals. The outside sales representative must possess effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills to quickly answer customer questions and resolve any potential issues they have with a product or service.
The outside sales representative will support existing clients as well as develop new business. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales.

Allied Truss Texas is a premier wood truss manufacturer serving clients throughout the United States. We specialize in the design and manufacture of wooden floor and roof trusses for residential, commercial, and mutli-family projects. Our skilled design team utilizes state of the art software to create custom designs that match our client's exact specifications.
FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for maintenance of current customer base, soliciting new business, establishing good relations with contractors, city, and state purchasing employees.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Managing Truss manufacturing projects for residential and commercial clients.
Managing workload and help drive continuous improvement.
Managing customer expectations in a professional manner including scheduling, special orders, service issues, and post-sale relationships.
Fostering a team-oriented environment, specifically with the Design, Accounting, Production, and other operational groups.
Attending meetings at customers' jobsites.
Troubleshooting problems regarding products and services provided.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Experience working with Custom home builders and commercial wood frame projects.
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Effective time management skills.
Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
5 – 10 years previous sales experience in residential and commercial truss sales.
High school diploma or GED (Required).
Degree in a 4-year accredited university (Preferred).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical Work Requirements –
Regularly exerting from 25 lbs. of force
Regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
Repetitive motion associated with operating equipment.
Regular exposure to the elements.
Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.
