Job Description: IT Operations Manager
Position Overview
The IT Operations Manager will oversee our HOPE’s hardware, software, technology and networks. Overall responsibilities include monitoring network infrastructure and resolving staff/user issues. The IT Operations Manager will have experience with IT performance management, network administration and system security and data protection regulations.
Ultimately, the IT Operations Manager will ensure our IT systems are secure, consistent and reliable and our staff is supported from a technology perspective.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize local company networks and servers.
- Be responsible for device and password inventory, ordering and management.
- Provision and decommission HOPE system access accounts as required.
- Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization, firewalls).
- Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software.
- Assess system performance and recommend improvements.
- Own the internal IT Help Desk and resolve issues escalated by staff.
- Ensure data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and company guidelines.
- Control costs and budgets regarding IT systems.
- With the Head of Operations, co-manage contracts with vendors (e.g. development platforms, telecommunication companies, password managers) and software licenses.
- Maintain IT policies and practices.
- Perform other duties as instructed.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Computer Science, IT or relevant field.
- Proven experience as IT Operations Manager and/or IT Help Desk management.
- Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis.
- Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing.
- Experience supporting multiple platforms; including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Form Assembly, Salesforce. Working knowledge of both Microsoft and Apple operating systems.
- Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation.
- Leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Outstanding communication skills with users with limited technological experience
- Problem-solving aptitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
