We are seeking a Medical Assistant who enjoys working with children and their families, while assessing the health needs of their patients. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a dynamic group of dedicated physicians and support staff working together to make a difference in the lives of the families we serve. The position will work 32-36 hours a week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs vitals, rooms patients and gathers specimens.
- Documents necessary information in the EMR.
- Collects specimens, performs in-office lab testing and prepares specimens for outside labs.
- Assists with in-office patient procedures per protocol and training.
- Administering immunizations
- Contributes to the daily upkeep of office space and equipment.
- Demonstrates and supports PediaTrust Core Values.
- Performs cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment based on practice protocol.
- Performs digital health workflows and initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Abilities:
- Minimum High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Strong knowledge and level of comfort with EPIC or other EMR system
- Experience in a clinical environment
- Computer literacy
- CPR certification
