About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated Drone Solutions Engineer with a solid foundation in drone flight operations and program management to help us continue to innovate and excel.
What You'll Do:
- Consult with customers on technical requirements for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving their drone programs.
- Install drone systems for customers in the field. Ensure their success by programming and flying their first mission with them.
- Conduct technical demonstrations of enterprise drone products locally and around the country.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and firmware issues in drones.
- Help our procurement and sales teams add complex products and solutions to our catalog. Understand and train others on features, compatibility, and use cases of the hardware and software we sell.
- Help drive our expansion into paid consulting, installation, and service programs.
- Ensure strong documentation and SOPs are developed and followed.
- Stay informed on new drone technologies and industry developments.
- Cross-train with the drone fulfillment team and provide support with drone builds, shipping/receiving, tech support, returns, and inventory when needed.
What You'll Bring:
- A degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience in a technical role with hands-on experience in drone operations or maintenance.
- Capable of performing detailed troubleshooting and repairs.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation.
- Must be good with customers.
- Enthusiastic professional who wants to pursue a long-term career in drone systems technology
- Experience installing and supporting enterprise technical systems (security, IT, etc) is a huge plus.
- FAA Part 107 certified.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
