SLSCO, LP is seeking a New York City-based Contracts Manager. The Contracts Manager will be an experienced professional responsible for the complete understanding, implementation, management, compliance, and maintenance of primary and second-tier contracts and subcontracts for unique, complex, and large Design/Build construction assignments. This individual will work with executives, management, finance/accounting, legal, risk, compliance, safety, and quality divisions among others to ensure full contract adherence and execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and support all contract implementation and management needs for awarded projects, including liaising with clients and relevant stakeholders.

Work with executives and managers, as well as relevant project and administrative division lines to ensure understanding of and adherence to contract requirements through all stages of the contracting process, from proposal submission to contract implementation and close-out.

Effectuate the processing, organization, logging, and maintenance of contracts, subcontracts, and relevant documents.

Ensure all contractually required documentation is submitted on schedule and according to client requirements, with specific attention given to M/WBE compliance, certified payrolls, Section 3, insurance, and bonding.

Work with program and construction management teams to ensure full communication and compliance as relevant to specific functions within the project such as schedule, submittals, approvals, notifications, communications, information dissemination, and document control.

Assist finance and accounting team in the gathering of information for invoicing, document compilation, audit, and any other materials required for contract compliance.

Review and understand complex agreements and ensure that appropriate terms and requirements are properly incorporated into contractor, subcontractor, and other relevant contracts and agreements.

Liaise with legal division to review and negotiate contract documents prior to execution.

Support licensing and other business registration as needed in furtherance of contract implementation.

Continuously explore best practices and new innovative ways to support contract administration.

Support leadership with various daily task execution.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
-
High School diploma or equivalent.
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management.
-
City, State or Federal contracts management a plus.

Experience with complex design/build project contracts and experience with management of multi-million-dollar projects a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

SharePoint administration and file management experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

The ability to think strategically and streamline tasks in an efficient manner.

High degree of accuracy in work and attention to detail.
